Virginia Chipperfield

Virgnia May (Piper) Chipperfield, 82, Altoona, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 9, 2024, from her home.  She was born November 14, 1941, in Roaring Spring, a daughter of the late A. Blair Piper and Rozella (McCoy) Piper.  She married Charles Richard Chipperfield, Jr., on October 29, 1960, in Duncansville, PA.

Surviving is her husband, Charles, of more than 64 years, three sons, Timothy Chipperfield of Altoona, Todd Chipperfield of Altoona, Edward Chipperfield of Altoona, foster son Robert Messmer of Altoona, two daughters, Hope Chipperfield of Altoona, Charity Baer of Altoona, two sisters, Martha Gilbert of Martinsburg, Rozella Harshberger of Altoona and two brothers, Walter Piper of Roaring Spring and Carl Piper of Marietta, GA.

She was a graduate of Altoona High School and also attended Altoona Vo-Tech where she took nursing courses to become a nurse's aide.  She was a member of the Altoona 7th Day Adventist Church.  She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, family and church.

Friends will be received from 11am - 2pm Friday, November 15, 2024, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., where a funeral service will begin at 2pm with Pastor Donald Ball, officiating.  Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville.
