Ty J Mowery

Ty J Mowery, 15, Altoona, passed away peacefully, Thursday morning, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Altoona, son of Brian S and Janet (Carles) Mowery.

He is survived by his parents; grandmother, Barbara Hess; great aunt, Janet Williams; aunt, Carol Hess (Doug Kerr); all of Altoona; uncle, Ray Hess (Linda) of Alexandria; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents: Clair Mowery and Joan and James Carles.

Ty attended the Altoona Area High School where he was in the 9^th grade. He loved school and giving hugs to all of his friends. He always greeted the room with “Hey Buddy”. He enjoyed spending time at the Small Engine Shop where he worked as a door greeter.

He enjoyed RC Car Racing and was an honorary member of the TLR RC Race Team. He also enjoyed car shows, and attending Pirates and Altoona Curve Games. Despite the many challenges Ty faced throughout his life, he loved life to the fullest and never gave up. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 pm on Monday, April 18, 2022 at the Trans4mation Church, 1001 S 1^st Street, Altoona, 16602 and from 10 until the 11 am funeral service on Tuesday, April 19 with Pastor Jim Balzanno officiating. Interment will be made at Alto Reste Park. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc.
