Robert F. McMasters

  Robert F. McMasters, 88, Hollidaysburg, died Sunday morning, February 7, 2021, at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg.  He was born January 25, 1933, in Greenwood, Altoona, a son of the late Charles Henry and Ester (Walker) McMasters.  He was twice married, first to Patricia L. Blair, who died in 1993, then on October 21, 1995, to Marjorie E. Hite at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Altoona.

  Surviving are his wife, Marge, one son, Jeff McMasters, two grandsons; Jason(Stephanie) and Todd McMasters, one step-granddaughter, Kristen Conrad and friend Casey, two great-grandsons, Dominic and Donovin McMasters, a niece Patti Ferrick(George), numerous step nieces & nephews and step great nieces & nephews and one sister, Ruth Burton and two brothers, Melvin and Sheldon, three sisters-in-law; Pat Neil, Susan McManamy(Bob), Elaine Hite, and one brother-in-law, Bill Hite.

   He was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Joe, Norman, Donald and three sisters; Naomi Crownover, Essie Beck and Birdie.

  He was a member of Simpson-Temple Lutheran Church.

  He retired from the Hollidaysburg School District in 1995, where he worked as a maintenance plumber/electrician for 19 ½ years.

  He enjoyed bowling, family picnics and parties, ceramics, country music, attending church functions and loved the holidays. He enjoyed attending Hollidaysburg High sports and was an Altoona Curve season ticket holder.  He also loved travelling and going on cruises, but, he especially loved spending time with his grandson and great grandsons.

  At his request, there will be no viewing or service.  Interment was at Alto Reste Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. (maukandyates.com)
