Robert Ickes

Robert L. Ickes, 89, Altoona, passed away Friday at his home.

He was born in Roaring Spring, son the late Robert W. and Frances R. (Snowberger) Ickes.

On November 17, 1956, he married Nancy E. Wilt.

In addition to his wife; he is survived by a daughter, Becky S. Ickes of Altoona; a son, Randy J. Ickes (Beth) in Garland, TX; grandchildren: Michael Wolf, Jamie Morris (David), Vanessa Moore, Brittany Logan and Alex Ickes; a brother, William E. Ickes; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, James L. Ickes; a daughter, Sharon K. Wolf; a granddaughter, Michele Wolf; and siblings: Shirley Wombacher and David R. Ickes.

Robert worked for PepsiCo as a plant foreman for 46 years. He was a member of Homers Gap Civic Association. He enjoyed hunting.

He served in the US Marine Corp Reserve.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 408 N 6^th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601 with Pastor Elizabeth Hess officiating. Inurnment will be made at Antis Cemetery, Pinecroft.
