Randall J. Caldwell

Randall J. Caldwell, 60, Altoona, passed away Monday at his home.

He was born in Connellsville, PA, son of Baxter and Patricia (Burnworth) Caldwell.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by 4 siblings: James B. Caldwell of Monte Rio, CA, Leigh Ann Bowser (Dale) of Altoona, Tracy Jo Beere (Ken) of Orangeville, and Dwight Gray of State College.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Guy Gray.

“Uncle Randy” will also be missed by many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly: Christian Gray, Ashley Caldwell, Nickea Stalter (Mike, Jack and Lili ), Tiffany Moore (Daryl, Olivia, Rasheen, Marcus, Savion, and Zaelinh), Sophia Crawford (Mike and Kash), Leann Gray, Kenny Beere (Marissa, Joey, Emilia, and Sophia), Victoria Harrington (John, Tobias, Tyson, and Myla).

He is also survived by his Aunt Joyce and Uncle Joe Omlor, Aunt Linda Burnworth and many cousins.

Randy was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He was a truck driver by profession, driving many years for Blair America. During that time he had the honor of being the preferred driver of the Penn State Blue Band, to transport the equipment to their annual “travel performance“ due to his exemplary service and excellent skill.  He was most recently employed by New Penn.

He loved fishing and the outdoors. He loved his dogs, Faithy, Buster “BooBoo” and Ginger. He was a kind, faithful Christian Man, who cared deeply for his family and friends. He was also a wonderful cook and loved to cook for his family and friends.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 pm on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4^th Avenue, Juniata. Friends will also be received from 10 until the 11 am memorial service on Monday, October 18 at the funeral home with Pastor Ken Beichler officiating. Inurnment will be made at Grandview Cemetery.
