Michael Wayne Shelow

Michael Wayne Shelow, 58, Altoona, passed away Monday at his home.

He was born in Altoona, son of C. Wayne and stepmother, Diane Shelow and mother, Sharon (Love) Nordeen. On March 8, 1986, he married Brenda J. (Steele) Shelow at First Church of Christ in Altoona. She preceded him in death on January 12, 2012.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by three daughters: Staci Shelow of Altoona, Casey Hartman of Altoona, and Amanda Newsome and husband Bryan of Brisbin; six grandchildren: Alexis Gallaher, Romin Shelow, Layla Shelow, Avery Shelow, Madilynn Shelow and Paisley Shelow; and siblings: Brenda Johnson of Arizona, Wendy Shultz (Tom) of Altoona, and David Shelow (Terri) of Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his beloved companion, his dog, Rayna.

Michael enjoyed painting and cooking for his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4^th Avenue, Juniata.
