Michael C. Rodriguez

Michael C. Rodriguez, Sr., 88, Altoona, died Thursday at his home. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Alex and Amanda (Carrillo) Rodriguez. On October 19, 1955, he married Laurel Williams in Winchester, VA. She preceded him in death on February 21, 2018. Surviving are five children: Stanley Williams, Roxane Rodriguez, Michael Rodriguez, Jr., Timothy Steven Rodriguez, and Alex Rodriguez, all of Altoona; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; and a sister, Rose Cohan (Rodriguez) of Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by a son, James Williams. Michael retired from Altoona Pipe and Steel as a steelworker. He was a member of the Bavarian Hall and Iaia Post, American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved football. He served in the U.S. Airforce during the Korean Conflict. A private inurnment will take place at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
