M Gene McClellan

 M. Gene McClellan, 92, passed away on October 21 , 2024, at Presbyterian Village Of Hollidaysburg.

 He was born at home in Juniata Gap Altoona on February 29,

 1932, a son of the late Robert K McClellan and Margaret (Smith) McClellan. On August 11, 1956 he married his soul mate Hester Zoe Robison.

 Gene is survived by his wife of 68 years. Also, Scott, David, John

 McClellan nephews, Todd Wray, Nephew and His very special Niece Melissa Marie Seltzer. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers R Clair and Robert H. McClellan. Gene was a 1949 Graduate of Altoona Area High School, then served a machinist apprenticeship for PA Railroad and Attended Penn State Altoona.

 He was a skilled draftsman and mechanical designer retiring from GTE Sylvania and Lumax Industries engineering department.

 An Army Veteran of the Korean War, Company G2, Intelligence. Gene was a member of Altoona Bible Church and served on the financial board, usher, and a supporter of the church preschool. For many years he volunteered at the Altoona Public Library.

 He was a former member of the Masonic Blue Lodge and Altoona Consistory.

Friends will be received from 11am until Noon, Friday, October 25, 2024, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601, where a funeral service will be held at Noon Friday, with Pastor Stewart McClelland and Pastor Keith Showalter, officiating.

 Interment at Grandview Cemetery, Logan Twp., Altoona, PA.
