Leona T. Campbell, 91, Altoona, passed away early Saturday morning at her home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late James and Ida (Hertzog) Warner. She was twice married. On February 4, 1950, she married Robert Moore at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Altoona. He preceded her in death on April 5, 1955. On June 13, 1970 she married Robert Campbell at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Altoona. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1996. She is survived by three daughters: Janet Dillen and husband, Joe of Juniata, Linda Campbell of Harrisburg and Patricia Baldessaro of Altoona; a son, Brian Campbell of Lilly; four grandchildren; Jeff Moore in South Carolina, Michael Moore of Batavia, New York, Chris Baldessaro of Altoona, Shannon Campbell of Altoona, two great grandchildren, Paige Moore in San Diego, CA, Kyle Campbell of Altoona and her only surviving sister; Dorothy Gibney of Altoona and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Campbell and several brothers and sisters. Leona was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Her hobbies included Bingo and loving her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. During her working she worked at the Altoona Mirror. Due to COVID-19 recommendations, a private family service will be held. Committal will take place at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
