Lena C. Ferguson, 98, Pittsburgh, formerly of Juniata, died early Friday morning at Canterbury Place in Pittsburgh. She was born in Juniata, daughter of the late Frank and Almira (Keith) Garner. On December 28, 1936, she married Duncan Ferguson, Jr. in Cumberland, MD. He preceded her in death on November 18, 1987. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. Polce of Monroeville; two sons: Rev. Edward L. of Springfield, MO and Rev. Kenneth J. of Springfield, MD; one brother: Frank of Lake in the Hills, IL ; six grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Kevin Polce and one great granddaughter, Danielle Ferguson and four brothers, Arthur, Charles, Gerald and Robert. Lena retired from Philips ECG as a worker and was a member of the former Pleasant Valley Assembly of God, now Trans4mation Church. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and computers. Friends will be received from 10am until the 1pm funeral Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at the Trans4ormation Church, Altoona, with Pastor Jim Balzano, officiating. Interment will take place at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Trans4mation Church, 1001 S 1st Street, Altoona, PA 16602.
