Kathleen E. Stormer

Kathleen E. Stormer, 92, Altoona, passed away Thursday morning at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care. She was born in Sharon, PA, daughter of the late George R. and Agnes E. (Blitz) Smith. On July 22, 1946, she married James E. Stormer, Jr. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, in Altoona. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2002. She is survived by special friends, that she considered family: Travis and Dianne Homan and their children: Samuel, Leah, and Hannah. She was also survived by special friend and caretaker, Marcia Homan. Kathleen was preceded in death by her son, James E. Stormer, III; and a brother, George R. Smith, Jr. Kathleen was a homemaker and enjoyed church, music, and reading. She was very proud of her Irish heritage. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 900 N 4th Street, Altoona, 16601 with Very Rev. Ronald V. Osinski officiating. Interment will be made at Alto Reste Park. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc.
