Kathleen R. Jones

Kathleen R. (Clark/Laughlin) Jones, 75 passed away on January 13, 2023, suddenly, after complications during a routine medical procedure.  She was born in Margate, NJ, daughter of Leo and Anne Clark and graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1965. 

Kitty graduated from St. Francis University, Loretto, PA, in 1969 and married her first husband, Joseph William (Bill) Laughlin who preceded her in death in 1999.

She is survived by her husband of almost 25 years, Randall R. Jones of Lakeland, FL; her three daughters and their husbands: Maria (Laughlin) and Stephen Bernal of West Chester, PA, Theresa (Laughlin) and Aaron Wiedemann of Altoona, PA, and Christine (Laughlin) and Sean Banks of Harrisburg, PA; seven grandchildren (Donovan, Tyler, Seikura, Bella, Cole, Bryce, and Beatrix); one great grandson (Blade); two sisters (Anne and Eileen); one brother (Leo); and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister (Peg).

Kathleen worked as a teacher in the Altoona Area School District for 35 years before “retiring” to Florida and teaching for another 5 years in the Polk County School District. 

A Celebration of Life will be held in Lakeland, FL on February 18, 2023.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org/give/memorials-and-dedications.html).
