Judith Lee Claar

Judith Lee Claar, 84, Altoona, went home to be with the Lord.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Howard and Margaret (Baker) Wendle.

She married Samuel Claar who preceded her in death in February of 2022.

She is survived by a daughter, Julie Noel (Scott) of Altoona; a son, Gary Walter (Lisa) of Sproul; grandchildren: Amber, Alexis, Noah, Jade and Grace; five great grandchildren; a sister, Sue Casalvieri; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Edward Walter; and siblings: Audrey Stout, Ruth McClellan, Kathleen Musselman, Lois Lingenfelter, Robert Wendle and Gerald Wendle.

Judith was a homemaker. She attended Berean Baptist Church in Duncansville and she enjoyed crafts, baking, going to the Senior Life Center and playing bingo.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 am on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Grace Bible Church, 164 Laurel Lane, Hollidaysburg, PA where a memorial service will be held at 11 am with Pastor Michael Stuart officiating. Inurnment will be made at Carson Valley Cemetery.
