John M. McTigue, Sr., 91, Altoona, died Monday morning at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Altoona, son the late William T. and Margaret C. (Hogue) McTigue. He married Nancy J. Campbell. In addition to his wife, Nancy, of 63 years, he is survived by a son, John M. McTigue, Jr. and wife Laurie of Altoona; granddaughters: Erika Scheffer (Wes) of Fairfax, VA and Holly Scheffer (Brandt) of Seattle, WA; sisters: Barbara Neugabauer of Frederick, MD and Deanna Ernest (Frank) of Lynchburg, VA; brother, David McTigue of Lakemont; sisters-in-law: Sandra McTigue, Shirley McLaughlin (Jim), Sarah Wolfe, and Mary Campbell; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings: Francena Johnson, William McTigue, Harold McTigue, and James McTigue; brothers-in-law: Robert Johnson, Thomas Neugabauer, Ernest Campbell, Jr., and Thomas Wolfe; sister-in-law, Janet McTigue, and nephews: Michael Johnson and Brad Campbell. John was owner of Kreative Kitchens. He attended Marforf United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He served in the U.S. Navy. Friends will be received from 10 am until Noon on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata, where a funeral service will be held at Noon with Certified Lay Speaker, Linda Williams officiating. Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery. Due to severe allergies, the family requests no flowers, but rather a memorial donation may be made to Mardorf United Methodist Church, 3429 Juniata Gap Road, Altoona, PA 16601 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
