Joanne L. Landeck, 89, of Duncansville, went to be with the Lord, Friday, October 22, 2021. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Carl S. and Francis A. (Hoover) Ammerman. She married Eugene C. Landeck on November 4, 1948 in Altoona. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2016. Surviving are three children including one son; Gene C. Landeck and wife Carole, of Coalport, two daughters; Gail L. Brubaker and husband Tom of Altoona and Glenda S. Frame, of Odessa, Florida, seven grandchildren; Gene Landeck, Jr., Julie Lehman, Chad Landeck, Janelle DeGennaro, Mark Landeck, Matthew Brubaker, Timothy Brubaker, seventeen great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews. Joanne was preceded in death by a daughter, Gwen, who died at the age of 21. She was the last of thirteen children in her family. She was a graduate of Altoona High School. Joanne retired from the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home where she worked as a nurses aide. Joanne was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Duncansville. While raising her children, she was involved with children's ministries at the First Lutheran Church and was a devout prayer warrior. She loved to travel and also loved bowling, roller skating, reading and playing pinochle, but, especially loved spending time with her family. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m., with Rev.
