Jacqueline (“Jackie”) P. Victor, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 17, 2022. Jackie was born on April 17, 1942 in McKeesport, PA and was the daughter of the late John (“Jack”) and Gertrude (Bergstrom) Platt. In 1965, she married the love of her life, David J. Victor, who arrived in Heaven before her in 2003. Jackie was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor at age 28. After extensive surgery, she purposed to live the remainder of her life with vibrancy and intentionality. The Lord gifted her with 52 more precious years to do just that. Jackie was a light to all who met her and had a servant’s heart at her core. She was a nursing assistant for many years and took great joy in serving many who could not care for themselves. Jackie especially loved children, whom she worked with for years in her church and community. Her passion for touching children’s lives extended overseas as well, where she took many trips to Mexico, Guatemala, and Bolivia, serving the needs of orphans and underprivileged children, and sharing the love of Jesus. Her tender heart also reached out to animals and for the last eight years, she was inseparable from her dog, Pappy. Jackie additionally had a love for music, which she happily passed on to her children and grandchildren. She used her gifts for years on and off the stage, and rarely spent a day without singing.
Jackie’s greatest earthly joy was her family. Her life and love will continue on through her son, David Victor and his wife Linda of Austin, TX; daughter, Christine Pascual and her husband Ed of Hollidaysburg, PA, as well as her five grandchildren, Brian Victor, Luke Victor, Daniel Victor, Rachel Pascual, and David Pascual. She is additionally survived by her brother, John R. (“Bob”) Platt; sister, Linda Kitchen and her husband Tim, and their children, Corey, Amanda, and Bradley. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 6 at Grace Bible Church in Hollidaysburg, PA. Friends will be received at 10:00 AM until the service at 11:00 AM. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to: Love In Action International Ministries (www.liaim.com/donate) or Great Commission Schools (www.greatcommissionschools.org).
