Jack R. Shannon

Jack R. Shannon, 62, Altoona, passed away Thursday at UPMC Altoona after an extended illness. He was born in Altoona, son of Melvin A. and Clara (Freed) Shannon. He is survived by a son, Zachary Shannon of Altoona; a brother, Rodney Shannon of Northern Cambria; a step-son, Michael Noel of Dysart; two sisters: Donna Peterman of Altoona and Connie Partridge of Tucson, AZ; a brother, David Shannon of Florida; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jack worked as a mechanic and he enjoyed hunting and riding motorcycles. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 3 to 5 pm at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata.
