Hazel L. Rupp

Hazel L. Rupp, 95, Altoona, passed away Wednesday at her home. She was born in Juniata, daughter of the late John J. and Lucina Mae (Smith) Harris. She is survived by three sons: William Nash, Charles Rupp and Melvin Rupp, all of Altoona; three daughters: Carol Ickes in South Carolina, Beatrice Varner of Bellwood and Tammy Zitsch of Altoona; 31 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and a sister: Evelyn Smith of Altoona. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Boyd Rupp; three children: Terry Nash, Dale Smith and Donna Good. Hazel was a homemaker and a member of New Life Assembly of God. She also worked for McCrory’s in downtown Altoona and the Altoona Hospital in the cafeteria. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona. Inurnment will be made at Greenwood Cemetery.
