Gregory Blair

Gregory R. Blair, 77, Claysburg, died Sunday morning, October 13, 2024, at his residence. 

He was born January 22, 1947, in Altoona, a son of the late Charles and Belva (Brown) Blair. He married Sandra Smith August 27, 1966, in Claysburg.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra, of 58 years, two sons; Jeffrey (Lisa), of Roaring Spring, Michael (Shelly) of Claysburg, two daughters; Melisa Cox (Keith), of Claysburg, Amanda Brown (Earl), of Claysburg, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard and an infant grandson, Colton.

After graduating from Altoona High School in 1964, he joined the United States Air Force retiring after more than twenty years and attaining the rank of Master Sergeant.

He loved spending time with his family, which included his dog Snickers, and his hobbies included trains, stamps and music.

Friends will be received from 3-6pm Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc., where a funeral service with military honors will be conducted at 6pm. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery, Logan Twp.
