Gordon M. Ellis

Gordon M. Ellis, 83, Altoona, passed away Sunday.

He was born in Barnesboro, son of the late Frank W. and Florence Helen (Horn) Ellis.

On June 28, 1986, he married Judith Ann Burket.

In addition to his wife, Judith, of 38 years, he is survived by a son, Scott Ellis (Sheri) of Charlotte, NC and grandchildren: Tyler and Jamie; a daughter, Traci Treese of Altoona and grandchildren: Cory (Kaylee) and Lindsay (Dylan); great grandchildren: Roman, Dahlia and Wilkes Treese and Rue and Jet Snowberger; two brothers: Robert Ellis and Gary Ellis (Jane); step-son, Brien Haun and his children: Brien and Branden; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a step-son, Michael Haun.

Gordon was a lifetime member of the Bavarian Aid Society. He was also a member of the Sinking Valley Country Club and was an avid golfer. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and summers golfing at Sinking Valley.

At the request of the deceased, no public services will be held. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc.
