Gladys E Henderson

Gladys E. Henderson, 91, Duncansville, passed away Friday morning at the Village at Morrisons Cove.

She was born in Long Island, NY, daughter of the late Bruce and Sarah (Mauk) Gates. She was twice married. She married David Henderson who preceded her in death in 1977. She later married James Mullen who also preceded her in death.

She is survived by four children: Sally Peck of Duncansville, Debbie Smolen and husband Dennis of Butler, Galen Henderson and wife Tina of Bedford, and Lisa Tapager and husband Doug of Butler; sister-in-law, Beverly Dibert of Hollidaysburg; and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Rahm; a son, Donald Henderson; a grandson, Eric Henderson;  and a great granddaughter, Love Hart Sullivan. Gladys was the last surviving sibling of five.

Gladys worked as a waitress at various locations. She loved to take care of others, enjoyed puzzles, and was a great mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Friends will be received from 12 to 3 pm on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4^th Avenue, Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 3 pm. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
