Gerald L. Persun, born in E. Juniata, Altoona, graduated to life with his Savior on November 20, 2020. He married Carolyn Conner in June of 1955. She preceded him in death in November of 2000. He is survived by his four children: Jerry Lee, Carol Lynn Laudenback, Faris Persun, and Angela Persun. In February of 2012 he married June Pitonyak Roarabaugh. He enjoyed many great times with his extended family. He achieved multiple roles in his life. For example, he earn degrees in accounting and business, foreman of production at Ohio Displays as a journeyman carpenter, instrumental in forming the Central PA Landlord’s Association, served as the financial officer of the Riggle’s Gap Bible Church, for more than 50 years and worked as a private contractor. He loved to work and was remodeling his home and loved discussing history. While in his 70’s, he finished a three year course at Altoona Bible Institute never missing a class. He loved learning about his Lord and sitting under the Word. “Absent from the body, present with the Lord.” II Cor. 5:8
