Gerald L. Brown, 77, Elmira, NY passed away at his home.

He was born in Horseheads, NY, son of the late Clarence and Vivian (Umstead) Brown.

On February 14, 1970, he married Linda Sue Kaylor in Ft. Belvior, VA. She preceded him in death on January 4, 2006.

Gerald is survived by two sons: Gerald, Jr. and wife Andrea El Abbasy of Raleigh, NC and Jason of Benson, NC; and five grandchildren: Dylan, Cameron, Alexi, Anna and Sawyer.

Gerald retired from the US Armed Forces as a Staff Sgt, having worked on the Engineering and Demolitions division known as “Hell on Wheels”. He was a first rate auto mechanic, in charge of operations at the Elmira City Yards and also working at Elm Chevrolet in Elmira. His most recent work was as an over-the-road truck driver for Seneca Beverage.

Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Altoona, PA at the convenience of the family.
