Frances Samuels

  Frances A. Samuels, 74, an 18 year resident of Wolf Court, passed away Monday evening at home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Frank and Charlotte (Derr) Samuels. Surviving is her last living sibling, Robert Samuels of York, Pa, as well as many nieces and nephews: Roy D Samuels, Diana Samuels, Brenda Samuels, Norman Samuels, Carl Samuels, Danny Samuels, Patty Eaves, Gloria Smith, Susan Gray, Tom Samuels, Michael Haigh, Ricky Buckreis, Robert Buckreis, Roseland Larson, and Ramona Patete, and Tina and Terry Stahl.   She was preceded in death by her siblings: Roy Samuels of IN, Harvey Samuels of PA, Alice Hobgood of TX, Catherine Buckreis of TX, Rosella Haigh of Altoona, Florence Gainvors of Hollidaysburg; and by the following nieces and nephews: Dave Gainvors, James Gainvors, Tammy Haigh, Joe Samuels, Sandy Samuels, Tim Samuels, Robyn Buckreis. Frances was an Altoona High School graduate, class of 1962. She formerly worked at Ames and Hills in the Station Mall, and had previously attended Juniata United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her cats as well as Bingo at the Senior Center. A memorial service for Frances is scheduled for a later date. Inurnment at Grandview Cemetery.
