Fayetta D. Rickard, 88, Altoona, passed away Sunday evening at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Elizabeth, NJ, daughter of the late Durrell E. and Evelyn C. (Braniff) Miller. She married Paul E. Rickard, Jr. on December 24, 1952. He preceded her in death on May 22, 2016. She is survived by three children: Pamela K. Kraft of Altoona, Lee Ann Peterman (Dennis) of Altoona, and Roger P. Rickard (Terrie) of Scottsdale, AZ; five grandchildren: Michelle, Rebecca, Erica, Kalen and Ethan; nine great grandchildren: Katie, Laura, Danielle, Christopher, JJ, TJ, Charlie Jo, Presley and Dylan, and a sister, Jean Moyer of WA. She was preceded in death by five brothers: Durrell G., Clayton, Robert, Ray and Guy E. Miller and son in-law, Denny Kraft. She was a graduate of Altoona High School, Class of 1951. During her working years, she worked at Bomont Mills in Juniata, as a warper. Fayetta was a member of the Juniata United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping, traveling and loved spending time with her family and friends. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 and from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service, on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at the Juniata United Methodist Church with Pastor Julia Piper, officiating. Interment will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow, PA. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. Due to COVID-19 precautions, masks must be worn in the church and social distancing observed.
