Edward T. “Ted” Crawford, 84, Altoona, died Sunday at his home. He was born in Johnstown, a son of the late Edward T. “Ted) and Helen M. (Rogalla) Crawford. On February 7, 1987 he married Diana in Altoona. Surviving are his wife, Diana L.; the mother of his sons, Carol A.; three sons: Edward T. “Ted”, of Johnstown, Kevin S., of Altoona, and Jeffrey M., of Altoona; daughter-in-law, Sherrie; two granddaughters: Laura M. and Sasha M.; two sisters: Linda L., of Johnstown, Susan Byers, of Pittsburgh; and several nieces of nephews. He was a former aircraft owner used for recreational flying and a former AOPA member. He worked for the Johnstown Tribune Democrat until June 1, 1962. At that time he assumed a position at the Altoona Mirror on June 4, 1962 until his retirement on March 29, 1997, with 35 years’ service. He retired in 1995 from the Navy and Navy Reserves with over 20 years’ service. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment was made at Grandview Cemetery.
