Edward Walter Ryan, IV

   Edward Walter Ryan, IV, 43 of Altoona, formerly of Waynesboro, PA, died Sunday morning at the VanZandt VA Medical Center after a two year battle with cancer.

                He was born in Frederick, MD, a son of Edward Walter Ryan, III and Julia Jane (Williams) Ryan.

                Surviving are his parents of Altoona, one sister, Julianna Kekel of Zin Crossroads, VA, brother in law Ben Kekel, two nephews, Joshua and Lucas Kekel, two nieces Jaden and Aurora Kekel, all of Zion Crossroads, VA, one uncle Richard Williams and one aunt, Nancy Williams, both of Forest Hill, MD.

                He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a graduate of Waynesboro High School.  He served in the Navy from 2001-2004. 

                His hobbies included his love of cooking.

                There will be no viewing.  Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.  Arrangements are by Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc. (www.maukandyates.com)
