Dorothy M. Colyer

Dorothy M. Colyer, 77, Altoona, passed away Friday morning at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Paul E. and Mildred S. (Benton) McKendree. She married Harry L. Colyer. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2002. She is survived by six children: Harry “Deanie” Colyer of Altoona, Linda Droll of Maine, Tim Colyer (Brenda) of Ohio, Robert Colyer (Kathy) of Altoona, James Colyer of Altoona, and Shirley Colyer of Altoona; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren: five sisters: Maryann, Helen, Joann, Shirley, and Cleonice; a brother, Ralph “Toby”; and two sister-in-law’s: Violet and Gert. Dorothy enjoyed Bingo and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and wrestling. Friends will be received on Monday, January 13, 2020 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service at First Church of Christ, 113 Good Shepherd Road, Altoona, 16601 with Pastor John Collins officiating. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park.
