Doris V. Winterstein, 83, of Hollidaysburg, died peacefully Sunday at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Carl and Grace (White) Humm. She married James Winterstein on October 20, 1987 in St. Clairsville, OH. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1993. Surviving are one daughter, Cindy Finnegan (Stan), of Imler; three sons: Tommy Campbell (Billie), of Warriors Mark, Randy Campbell (Meredith), of Virginia, and Jay Campbell (Valerie), of Altoona; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two sisters: Donna Hammaker (Charlie) of Huntingdon, and Jeanie Worley (Bill), of Erie; one sister-in-law, LeEtta Humm, in New Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by a son, Carl Campbell; a grandson, Christopher Campbell; and a brother, John Humm. After she raised her children Doris earned her GED. She retired from WalMart as a Customer Service Manager. She loved spending time with her family, going to casinos, and reading. She always enjoyed attending her grandsons’ baseball games and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates on TV. Doris will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2019 and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2019, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., Juniata. A Funeral Service celebrating Doris’ life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2019, at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Sandell from Second Avenue United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Grane Hospice for the outstanding support and service extended to Doris and her family during her last days.
