Doris Jane Epple

Doris Jane Epple, 95, Altoona, passed away Wednesday.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Russell and Margaret (Wilson) Boyles.

On April 25, 1953, she married George J. Epple in Altoona. He preceded her in death on September 11, 2001.

She is survived by three children: Susan B. Drenning (Michael) of State College, Gregory J. Epple (Carole) of Altoona and Lisa A. Gillam-Reigh (Galen) of Williamsburg; five grandchildren: Michelle and Michael Drenning, Zachary and Alexandra Epple and James M. Gillam; and three great granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline B. Ebbert.

Doris was a 1947 graduate of Altoona High School. She was a life member of Greenwood United Methodist Church. She loved to cook and spend time with her family.

No public services will be held. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Altoona.
