Donnis “Donna” M. Alwine, 89, Altoona, passed away Sunday morning at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Juniata, daughter of the late William and Ada (Moffett) Kuhn. On July 1, 1950, she married Lorenz A. Alwine in Juniata. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2003. She is survived by four children: Carol Adams of Towson, MD, Timothy Alwine and wife Guyla of Boalsburg, Karen Alwine of Altoona and Terry Alwine and wife Sherry of Altoona; 15 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters: Lynn Marie and Sandy Feathers; a grandson, Michael Feathers; and a brother, William Kuhn. Donna was a caring friend to everyone. She spent many hours visiting friends and family. She enjoyed watching Joyce Myers, the Waltons and Elvis. Donna found joy in decorating for every holiday, car rides and fast food burgers. Her biggest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren to whom she was a constant. Donna helped everyone and was a comforting companion to many. She was one of a kind & will be greatly missed. Donna was a member of Juniata United Methodist Church, formerly Gethesemane United Methodist Church. Attending church was an important part of her life. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata. Friends will also be received from 10 to 11 am on Thursday, September 8 with a funeral service to immediately follow at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will be made at Logan Valley Cemetery.
