Donald P Hollern

Donald P. Hollern, “Bear”, 68, Tyrone, passed away Wednesday morning. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Thomas P. and Barbara M. (Boston) Hollern. He is survived by five children: Traci L. Holliday of Tyrone, Christine M. Harper (Harm) of Tyrone, Tom J. Hollern (April) of Hedgesville, WV, Stephanie J. Hollern (Mike) of Altoona, and Brittani R. Garlick (Chris) of Belleville, MI; grandchildren: Kayla, Kaitlyn, and Kelsey Holliday, Barrett and Gabriel Martz, Natasha Kelley, Ashley Hollen, Malacki Harper, Lilly, Cassidy, Samara, LaRain, and Lexi Hollern, and Tyrus Wilt; and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald “Hoser” Hollern, and stepfather, Don Figliola. Bear retired from Babcock Lumber in April of 2018. He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State and building models. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc.
