Delores B. Burket

Delores B. Burket, 85, Altoona, passed away Thursday morning, at Epworth Manor, Tyrone. She was born in Altoona a daughter of James and Rose Marie (Roesch) McCreary. She married John A. (Jack) Burket on October 24, 1959, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband Jack, of more than 62 years, one son, Jeffrey A. Burket of Altoona, one daughter, Jacqueline A. Thomas (Robert, Jr.), of Pittsburgh, two grandsons, Robert Thomas, III, of Pittsburgh and Tyler Thomas in California. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Donald and one sister Shirley. She was a graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School, Class of 1955. During her working years, she worked for W. T. Grant 5 & 10. Delores enjoyed dancing, playing bingo and going to the horse races. She also love listening to Johnny Mathis. Private services are at the convenience of the family with interment at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township. Arrangements are by Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Inc.
