Deborah G. Schunk

Deborah Gaye Schunk, 73, Altoona, passed away Friday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late James and Patricia Mackey. On February 12, 2000, she married Thomas H. Schunk in Altoona. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2021. She is survived by a step-son, Douglas Schunk (Renea) of State College; step-grandchildren: Matthew and Hanna Schunk; a brother, James Mackey (Michelle) of Altoona; a niece, Kayla Mackey of Altoona; and nephews: Alan Mackey and Bryan and Brett Scott, all of Altoona. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dana Scott. She was a member of Whenwood United Methodist Church. She previously worked for Thompson’s Pharmacy and Peterman’s Florist. Her greatest joy was making cards and giving them to family. At the request of the deceased, no public services will be held. Interment will be made at Alto Reste Park.
