Chester Deremer

Chester W. Deremer, 77, Altoona, died October 8, 2024, at his residence. He was born 0n November 26, 1946, in Saxton, PA, a son of the late Mearl and Dorothy (Reed) Deremer. He married Judith A. Quarello on January 28, 1967 in Altoona.

Surviving are his wife, Judith, of 57 years, one granddaughter, Maranda (Deremer} Caporuscio and husband Jordan of Altoona, a great grandson, Everett Caporuscio of Altoona and daughter in law Kimberly {McFalls} Deremer of Altoona.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Mearl Leroy Deremer, one sister Dora (Deremer} Shoenfelt and one son Brian Deremer.

Chet was the owner/operator of Chet’s Forklift Service from 1991 until his retirement in 2023. He enjoyed coaching youth baseball, classic cars and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, Monday, October 14, 2024 and 10-11 am Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am with Pastor Eli Hess, officiating.
