Cheryl A. Ecker, 75, Altoona, passed away Thursday evening at her home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late James H., Sr. and Mary E. (Roberto) Walker. On October 2, 1976, she married Paul Rodger Ecker in Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death on April 28, 2019. Cheryl is survived by two daughters: Darla Wherry (Jeff) of Mebane, NC and Dina Spiridigliozzi of Altoona; son-in-law, Eric M. Burket of Altoona; brother, James Walker, Jr. (Lois) of Altoona; four grandchildren: Nicholas Donnelly (Page) of Arlington, VA, Kaylee Treese (Cory) of Burlington, NC, Nathan Burket of Altoona and Jordyn Burket of Altoona; great grandchildren: Gweneth, Margot (Katie), Roman, Dahlia and Wilkes; and special friend, Sheldine Garner. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula (Ecker) Burket. Cheryl retired as a preschool teacher and was a member of Christ Community Church, Frankstown. She enjoyed sewing, Bible study, watching the amazing the Dr. Pol, cooking and crocheting. Private family services were held at the convenience of the family. Interment was made at Alto Reste Park.
