Charlies David “Red” Jarrett, 87, Duncansville, passed away at the Hollidaysburg Veteran’s Home early Thursday morning. He was born in Detroit, MI, son of the late Charles and Justine (Haines) Jarrett. On November 4, 1959, he married Doris M. Phelan. She preceded him in death on April 28, 2021. He is survived by three children: Pamela Holland (Keith) of Altoona, Brenda Snyder of Altoona and David Jarrett of Duncansville; grandchildren: Ashley Singer (Brandon), Noah Holland and Autumn Snyder; and two great grandchildren: Lexi and Harper. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Carl and Phillip and Rita Lastort. Red retired as a machinist from Conrail. He was an excellent mechanic, and without formal training, built a beautiful home in Duncansville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising animals. He served in the US Army. At the request of the deceased, there will be no service. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc.
