Charles "Bob" R. Shannon

Charles “Bob” R. Shannon, 80, Altoona, passed away Saturday morning at Maybrook Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Charles C. Shannon and Mary (Walter) Crawford. He married Marilyn J. Crist in Winchester, VA in 1993. In addition to his wife, Marilyn S. Shannon, of 49 years; he is survived by six children: Jody Ayers (Dan) of TN, Debbie Lonsinger (Randy) of Altoona, Rick Shannon of OH, Bonnie Gunter (Ed) of Altoona, Connie Moore (Dave) of Baltimore, MD, and Michele Taylor (Bill) of Hagerstown, MD; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard “Dick” Shannon. Bob served in the Navy. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 408 N 6th Street, Altoona, 16601.
