Carol Ann Vallei

Carol Ann Vallei, 69, Altoona, passed away Friday evening at her home. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of John and Ethel (Palladini) Vallei. She is survived by her mother, Ethel of Altoona; three children: Amber Hoff of Altoona, Jina Costa of Florida, and Michael Johnson of North Carolina; nine grandchildren: Aubree McKinney, Brett, Destini, and Aidan Tucker, Carlie, Ciera, and Zachary Venturato, and Isabelle and Sam Johnson; three great grandchildren: Ria, Santino, and Jackson; a sister, Linda Walter; a brother, Robert; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, John; a daughter, Christy Johnson; and a brother, Thomas Vallei. Carol enjoyed her cat, Bella, singing, and spending time with her family and her best friend, Lynn. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, 16601. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 28 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 900 N 4th Street, Altoona, 16601. Father Ronald V. Osinski officiating. Interment will be made at Calvary Cemetery.
