Beverly Ann Rahm, Altoona, passed away Wednesday at the age of 78.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Richard L. and Luella (Pennell) Koch. On December 4, 1965, she married Francis B. Rahm.
In addition to her husband, Francis, of 56 years; she is survived by a daughter, Lori A Smith (Michael): grandsons: Richard C. Smith (Kylie), Andrew M. Smith (Jenna), and Mitchell F. Smith; great grandchildren: Alexee, Coleson and Brynlee; sisters: Peggy and Joanne Koch, Patty Pearson (Steve); and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Frank R. Rahm and a sister, Nancy L Ritchey.
Beverly enjoyed working in her flower beds; if anyone ever visited their home, they saw the beauty surrounding it. She was a very good cook and some of her best dinners were the day before payday. She and her husband Francis enjoyed camping and fishing, especially with their son, Frank, and with their 3 grandsons (Lori’s boys). She came from a strong family of women; being the middle daughter in a family of 5 girls. She also enjoyed playing penny ante poker with Francis’ siblings and their spouses over the years. Beverly loved watching the Steelers play and watching the NASCAR races on TV. Family was very important to her and she always put everyone’s needs before her own. She was very giving and kind. She loved God and family.
Friends will be received from Noon until the 2 pm funeral service on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona. Inurnment will take place at Grandview Cemetery at a later date.
A wake will be held immediately following services at the Altoona Lighthouse Men’s Fellowship, 224 Woomer Road, Altoona, PA 16601.
