Betty L. Mock, 88, Altoona, died Tuesday evening at her home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Andrew H., Sr. and Hilda Mae (Reeseman) Hollen. On June 27, 1953, she married Clifford John Mock at the Juniata Church of the Brethren in Juniata. He preceded her in death on November 26, 2003. Betty is survived by a son: Joel and wife Pam of State College; two daughters: Sue and husband Carlton of La Grange, NC and Jennifer of Altoona; grandchildren: Micah, Alli, and Austin (Monica) Mock, Lindsey (Jacob) Whitford, Lydia and Jason (fiancé Christa) Crain, and Heidi (Brenton) Colbert; great grandchildren: Cora Mock, Layla Crain, and Dylan Zimmerman; and three siblings: Harriett Brooks of Altoona, Thomas Reeseman of Grove City, and Robert Hollen of Largo, FL. She was preceded in death by a son, Clifford John Mock, Jr. Betty was a 1949 graduate of Altoona High School. She was a member of Grace Brethren Church in Juniata, the Juniata Civic Association, and Noble School PTA. She worked as a Librarian at the Altoona Library. She was employed at Midstate Microfilm and was Avon lady for years. She enjoyed crocheting, journaling, reading and baking. Betty never met a stranger and she was a mentor to many. Her greatest accomplishment and joy in life was being a mother and grandmother. A private family service will be held. Interment will take place at Alto Reste Park.
