Betty Lou Stambaugh, 79, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday morning at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Altoona, daughter of Helen Dobie. She married Robert Stambaugh on July 5, 1958, in Altoona. Surviving is her husband Robert of 62 years; her children: Dale Stambaugh (Kathy) of Bellwood, Jolinda Markitell (Brian) of Altoona; daughter-in-laws: Jane LeFevre and Anna LaFaso; four grandchildren: Traci Ann Stambaugh, Meagan Snowberger (Trevor), Ashley Bailey, and Hailey Bates (Dan); four great-grandchildren: Caleb, Gianna, Ryan, and Grayson; and a sister, Fay Pierre of Salem. OR. She was preceded by her son, Tracy Stambaugh and a sister, Lela Rubine of Altoona. Betty Lou was a homemaker, and also worked along side her husband at his business—United Video. She had previously worked at Mary Joy Sportswear, and also for Sheetz. She was a member of the Pinochle Card Club, and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, painting, gardening, cooking for her family, and spending time with her family. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the 1:00 PM funeral service Monday, August 19, 2019, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
