Anna M. Yon

  Anna M. Yon, 90, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Saturday at UPMC Westshore. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Clair C. and Margaret M. (Larkin) Gfrerer. She married Clyde E. Yon April 11, 1953. He preceded her in death November 22, 1996. Surviving is her son Randall K. Yon (Margie) of Altoona; her daughter Carole Yon (Don Coffee), her son Mark Bowser (Chris); 4 grandchildren: Kylie Y. Sherritt, Terry Holsinger, J.D. Bowser, and Lauren Coffee, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Dennis C. Yon, and her sister Margaret (Peggy) Carr. Anna was a homemaker. She was a 1946 graduate of Altoona High School, and then a graduate of the Altoona School of Commerce. She attended Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Camp Hill, PA. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 8, 2019, at the Alto Reste Park Chapel, with Rev. Jamie Olson, officiating. Interment at Alto Reste Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anna’s name to the charity of your choice.
