Alice M. Walk

Alice M. Walk, 98, Altoona, passed away Sunday at Hillview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Stull) McMullen. On September 5, 1939, she married Henry W. Walk, Sr. in Altoona. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1983. She is survived by three children: Henry W. Walk, Jr. (Jackie) of Lewistown, Gary Walk of Duncansville and Larry Walk of Altoona; son-in-law’s: Robert McPhee and James Leaper; and a large extended loving family of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three children: Barbara McPhee, Ernest and Dorothy Leaper; and a sister Alma Yingling. Alice attended Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading and working on crossword and word puzzles. She also loved animals. Friends will be received from 11 am to Noon on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at Noon with Pastor Elizabeth Hess officiating. Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery.
