Bud grew up in East Juniata and graduated from Altoona High School in 1959. He loved the military and was honored to serve in the Air Force for 20 years. He was a plumber's assistant in State College and also worked in the Norfolk Southern Juniata Shops until retirement. Bud was honored to be an elder at the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.

He was a hugger and loved a good prank, especially when it involved water! He had been referred to as ‘trouble’ his whole life and was not expected to live to age 21 because of his shenanigans! He had a soft spot in his heart for dogs, especially his Cocker Spaniels he had throughout the years. We are sure they are very happy to see him again!

He loved God and his family. He most especially loved his adored wife Elaine. Bud, you will be sorely missed by so very many.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4th Avenue, Juniata. Friends will also be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the funeral home with Minister Jerry Stumpf, officiating. Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery with full Military Honors.
