A. Lucille Davis

Agnes Lucille “Lucy” Davis, 92, Altoona, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday September 25, 2024.

She was born in Alverda, PA , daughter of the late Raymond and Wilda Duriez. 

She married James N. Davis on February 18, 1952 in Barnesboro, PA. He proceeded her in death on April 22, 1992. They were married for 40 years. 

She is survived by her 6 children- they were her whole world; Two Daughters: Darlene Tokarchic (Don) and Joni Mighells (Steven); 4 sons Ronald Davis (Vicki), Gerald Davis (Maryann), Gary Davis, and Jim Davis (Jennifer); 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter, a sister in law Sally Duriez and numerous nieces and nephews whom she also loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her 6 siblings- Mildred Fleming(Zene), Raymond Duriez (Joy), MaryLouise Moser, William Duriez (Kate), Howard Duriez (Jane) and Ronald Duriez, her brother in law John Davis, her granddaughter, Heather L. Mighells and Jack E. Kuhn who was a special friend and companion for many years. 

She graduated from Barnesboro High School. She was employed by the Altoona Area School District as a beloved van driver for over 35 years. She also worked at Riverside and A&P Grocery Store for 12 years prior to driving van.

She attended Pleasant Valley Assembly of God (currently Trans4mation Church) for over 60 years. 

She enjoyed being with her family, Sunday dinners, and camping. We will all cherish the traditions she started, the ones she carried on, the camping trips, pool days, holidays, phone calls and the firm foundation of Jesus, family and putting others first that she established for all of us. Her desire would be for all to join her someday in heaven and she would encourage you to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Friends will be received Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., 719 N 4thAvenue, Altoona, 16601 and Monday, September 30, 2024 from 10 until 11 a.m. with a 11a.m funeral service at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. Pastor James Balzano officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery.
