Charles T. Musselman, Sr., 85, of 801 East Atlantic Avenue, died early Sunday morning at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care. He was born in Claysburg, a son of the late Joseph Samuel and Martha Ruth (Delozier) Musselman. He married Violet Jane Oakley on April 13, 1945 at Woodbury Church of the Brethren. She died October 30, 2001, Mr. Musselman is survived by one daughter, Cecilia Mae Watson and husband Fred Watson, two sons, Charles T. (Skip) Musselman, Jr., and wife Diane, Craig Alan Musselman, all of Altoona, six grandchildren, Frederick Samuel Watson, Amy Elizabeth Fouse, Kimberly Diane Fischer, Tanya Colbert, Craig Alan Musselman, Jr., Gregory Taylor Musselman, and 12 great grandchildren, one brother, Frederick Henry Musselman of Tyrone. He is also survived by his special companion, Dottie McCullough. He is preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters, J. Chester, Mayberry M., Austin B., Edward W., J. Jake, Anna E., Jesse L., and Jenny B. He worked as a professional truck driver for 69 years driving for several companies including Armour & Company, Swift & Company, and retired from Imler's Poultry, after working there for 24 years. He attained the rank of Staff Sgt in the U. S. Army where he served for nine years including three years during World War II and three years during the Korean War and saw action in the Aleutian Islands and Germany. He was a life member and past Commander of VFW, Post 8685, Juniata and was also a member of the Federation of Clubs. He enjoyed listening to country western music and had 35 years of fond memories camping at Lake Glendale. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8pm Tuesday, November 11, 2008 and 10-11am Wednesday at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., Juniata. Services will be held at 11am Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Dick Barr, officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, conritbutions may be made the American Heart Association.
