Harry Warren Cunningham, Sr. September 5, 1921 - December 19, 2008 Harry Warren Cunningham, Sr., of Sinking Valley, died Friday evening at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus following an extended illness. He was born in Catharine Twp, Blair Co., a son of the late Harry and Margaret (McManamy) Cunningham. He married Minerva M Christofic on December 18, 1939, in Hollidaysburg. She died July 21, 2004. Mr. Cunningham is survived by one son, Harry W. Cunningham, Jr., and his wife Durlaine, of Sinking Valley, one daughter, Patrucia J. Kennedy and husband, Pastor Larry Kennedy, of Manning, South Carolina, __grandchildren, __great grandchildren and __great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Louise, five brothers, William, John, George, James, Alvin and one granddaughter Tanya. He was a member of Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, Elberta, Sinking Valley. He retired as a carpenter at Marhofer's Bakery. He was an avid reader and an avid baseball and football fan. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8pm Monday, December 22, 2008, and 10-11am Tuesday, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc., Juniata. A funeral service will be held at 11am Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Joshua J. Hansen, and Pastor Larry Kennedy, officiating. Interment at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Sinking Valley.
