MADELINE L. CARLES July 12, 1910 January 5, 2009 Madeline L. Carles, 98, of Altoona, died Monday, at Beverly Healthcare-Hillview. She was born in Tyrone, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Dry) Denny. She married Philip Carles who died December 21, 2001. Surviving are a sister, Eleanor Conrad, of Seven Springs, and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from noon to the 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service, Saturday, January 10, 2009, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc, Juniata, with the Rev. John Klingeman officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
