Robert J David

Robert J. "Bob" David, 73, of Altoona, went home with his Heavenly Father Friday at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus. He was born in Juniata, son of the late Clair and Mary David. He married Mary J. Bott on March 6, 1958, in Altoona, PA. Surviving is his wife Mary of over 50 years; five daughters: Barbara Moyer of Altoona, Donna McConnell of Altoona, Connie Berger of Altoona, Gloria Miller of Cary, NC, Peggy Bloom of Altoona; 13 grandchildren: Kelly, Andy, Amber, Brett, Alicia, Kyle, Evan, Ethan, Lucas, Cameron, Destiny, Bobby, Faith; one great-granddaughter--Paige; one brother Harry and two sistersMary and Gladys. He was preceded in death by one daughter Mary Funari, and one grandson John McConnell. Bob retired from the Small Tube Products Co. as an assemblyman after over 20 years of service. He served in the United States Army, and was a lifetime member of Juniata VFW Post 8685. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Friends will be received on Monday, January 19, 2009, from 1-4 PM, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM. Interment at Grandview Cemetery.
